The Royal Grammar School Petrovice is part of the unique Royal Schools system, which provides seamless education from kindergarten through elementary to high school. 4-Year Grammar School
The 4-year grammar school provides general education with a strong emphasis on foreign language learning. English is a core subject taught by qualified native speakers, with Spanish as a second language. Students can also participate in international programs and exchange stays.
We have introduced an innovative subject called Personal and Social Development, where students acquire essential life skills such as effective communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.
8-Year Grammar School
The 8-year grammar school is designed for students who wish to engage in intensive language learning from an early stage. Starting in Grade 1 (prima), students not only study English but also take selected specialized subjects taught entirely in English. In higher grades, Spanish is introduced, along with the option to choose between German and French.
At the senior grammar school, students can take the internationally recognized Cambridge IGCSE exams and continue with the two-year IB Diploma Program, which prepares them for university studies both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
English Language Education

International IGCSE Exams
The Cambridge IGCSE program prepares students for their final two years at grammar school and the IB Diploma Program. They also select a science subject (biology or physics) and two additional subjects based on their interests.
